120° sundogs (paranthelia) are rare small sundog-like spots that occur ±120° in azimuth from the sun and at the same altitude. They are colorless and may be found by themselves or lying on the parhelic circle. The explanation for the120° sundog (paranthelion) is reflection and refraction through parallel faces.
